FINDING A GOOD AGENT
WHY BUYER REPRESENTATION MATTERS
Buying a home involves more than finding the right property. You also need clear information, thoughtful guidance, and an experienced professional who understands the local market and protects your interests throughout the process.
As your buyer’s agent, I will take time to understand your goals, answer your questions, and help you make informed decisions—from the initial home search through closing.
WHAT I CAN DO FOR YOU
• Help clarify your priorities, preferred locations, price range, and timeline.
• Identify available homes that match your needs and arrange property showings.
• Provide local market information and comparable-sales data when evaluating a home.
• Help you develop a competitive offer strategy based on the property and current market conditions.
• Prepare and explain offer documents and guide you through negotiations.
• Coordinate important deadlines involving financing, inspections, appraisal, title work, and closing.
• Communicate with the listing agent, lender, inspector, title company, and other professionals involved in the transaction.
• Attend the final walkthrough and help you prepare for a successful closing.
WRITTEN BUYER AGREEMENTS
Indiana requires a written buyer representation agreement. This agreement explains the services your agent will provide, the length of the relationship, each party’s responsibilities, and how the agent may be compensated.
Before signing, you should have an opportunity to ask questions and clearly understand the agreement. I will walk through it with you so you know what to expect.
QUESTIONS TO ASK A BUYER’S AGENT
• How familiar are you with the communities and neighborhoods I am considering?
• How will you communicate with me, and how quickly can you arrange showings?
• How will you help me evaluate asking prices and prepare an offer?
• What should I expect during inspections, appraisal, and closing?
• How does the buyer representation agreement work, and how will you be compensated?
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ME
You can expect responsive communication, honest perspective, local market guidance, and organized support throughout your home purchase. My goal is to help you move forward confidently while keeping the process as clear and manageable as possible.
